Greetings friends and colleagues,
On Thursday, March 15th, from 7 to 8 PM Pacific time, the Assistive Technology
Center will host a free seminar using the Skype online conference service.
The subject of the seminar is "Using Screen Readers with Windows Vista
and Office 2007". ATC staff will discuss the current situation of screen
reading and magnification software as it applies to the latest Microsoft
Office suite and Operating Systems. The seminar is free, and the software
to access the event is free. To listen in, all you need is a computer connected
to the internet with a sound card. To participate, you also need a microphone.
In addition to this, you must download and install the free Skype software
located at
www.skype.com
If you have any problems with the installation of Skype, please contact the manufacturer. If you are having problems using Skype with your screen reader, please contact your software provider. Send us an email if you plan to participate. Send it to: connie@atechcenter.net
We will look forward to sharing information and assisting you in your technology needs.
Regards,
Robert Leblond, President
