-Santa Monica, CA- Paraplegic SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship
Race Car Driver Carol Hollfelder Chooses RediAuto Sport’s Total Hand-Driving
System for Her Personal Automobiles
Carol Hollfelder is full of determination. She began competing as an equestrian,
riding hunter and jumper horses from age nine until she was injured in a motorcycle
accident at eighteen. As a paraplegic, Carol could no longer compete on horseback,
so she turned her competitive drive toward sports cars.
Carol worked her way up in the racing world, under the Tiger Racing banner,
and now campaigns a Ford Mustang at the professional level. She competes on
the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship circuit.
All of Carol’s race cars are equipped with custom-made racing hand controls
and when Carol made the decision to retrofit all of her personal automobiles
including her favorite, a 1984 Ferrari Mondial Cabriolet, she selected the
RediAuto Sport Total Hands Driving System, the world’s most technologically
advanced and easy-to-use hand controls available today.
For
today’s high performance 5 and 6 speed manual transmission cars RediAuto
Sport developed an accelerator ring mounted to the steering wheel, created
a clutch which is now a simple lever on the stick shift and a leather covered
brake lever replaces those old fashioned and imprecise “push/pull”
controls.
These new systems are designed so that ability impaired people can enjoy racing
excitement like never before.
RediAuto Sport is now producing these exclusive high technology systems, which
provide innovative new hand driving system for stick shift automobiles that
allows the drivers to use only their hands. This gives drivers the ability
to enjoy the thrill of stick-shift and high-performance driving.
Carol Hollfelder's interest in cars
goes back to her childhood. Her parents collect exotic and vintage cars. A
collection that began in 1970 with her mother's purchase of a used Sunbeam
Tiger. Carol spent time with her father as she was growing up learning about
automobiles, first learning how they work, then learning to drive. Cars were
and are a family passion. Both of her parents race vintage cars under the
banner of Tiger Racing. So named for her mother's early involvement with the
British marque.
