Urge your Senators to Co-Sign Letter Opposing Elimination of Medicaid Reimbursements
The Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) -- led by the Administration -- are pushing to eliminate Medicaid reimbursements for administrative and transportation costs associated with serving children with disabilities under IDEA. The elimination of these reimbursements totals $9 billion over 10 years.
CEC has been working with other advocacy groups to prevent CMS from taking this regulatory action, and we need your help. Senators Kennedy (D-MA) and Reed (D-RI) are sending a letter to the Secretary of Health and Human Services objecting to this elimination. To prevent CMS from taking this action, we need to show that this issue has the broad-based support of Senators from across the country, both Democrats and Republicans. Urge your Senators to sign onto this letter by September 22. Visit CEC's Legislative Action Center to take action now! -- http://capwiz.com/cek/home/
