The 2006 CITTI (Community Inclusion Through Technology International) Tour to Ecuador is about to leave for Quito, Ecuador. After one night in Quito we will travel to Ambato for an orientation and information exchange. On the fifth day we will move to a hotel in Banos for a week and commute to Huambalo, a rural village, to work with families and create resources for the community. This will be a great adventure of learning and sharing information to assist individuals with disabilities in Ecuador. If you're not familiar with the CITTI Tour, I've written a brief article you can explore here:

At the request of Bridgett Perry, founder and director of the CITTI Project, I've established a blog for the 2006 Ecuador Tour, July 22-August 5. The blog is like a diary, but it is on the internet and available for all to see and follow. Our blog is intended to provide everyone who is interested a chance to share our experience in Ecuador. We plan to be posting daily updates at internet cafes there.

The tour group consists of 17 individuals from all over the United States, and additional people who will be working with us in Ecuador. There is a leadership core comprised of Bridgett Perry, Maggie Morales, Joy Zabala, and Chaya Spector. Chaya is the CITTI Project photojournalist who will also contribute photos for the blog.

We invite you to come to Ecuador with us through the blog. You will be able to keep track of our progress and enter comments to the various posts. The blog will become much more active after we reach Quito July, 22. This is our first experience with a blog and attempting to add content and photos on a regular basis while in Ecuador, but we promise to give it our best effort!
