The NEAT Marketplace wants to hear from you

The New England Assistive Technology (NEAT) Marketplace has been operating in its spacious, fully-accessible new building for nearly two years already. During that time, over 5,000 people have visited, over 3,500 more have attended workshops and presentations, over 6,000 people have requested information (and received it), and more than 900 pieces of used equipment have been sold. Our website hits continue to increase, adding 33 new visitors to http://www.neatmarketplace.org each day. The results from a recent independent program evaluation indicate that our customers think we're doing what we're doing well, but we want to know more. Are we doing what you want or need us to be doing?

Increasing access to assistive technology for people with disabilities is NEAT's primary goal. We know that that goal is reached most effectively by including professionals who work with the individuals and their families in the equation. To that end, the trainings, expos, product demonstrations and opportunities just to "play" at NEAT are carefully devised to meet the needs of professionals as they go about doing their jobs. How else can NEAT help you to reach your professional goals? What do you need in the AT area that we can do or do more of? Do you have any particular expertise you can offer as a trainer? Would you like to use NEAT's Computer Lab for conducting evaluations? If you aren't working nearby, what do you need that we can do at a distance for you? We want to hear from you.

Drop Lee Learson an email at info@neatmarketplace.org and give her your ideas. Improving the capability of The New England Assistive Technology (NEAT) Marketplace to meet your goals enables us to meet ours.
