Each year during the winter quarter at Portland State university, The Oregon Technology Access Program (OTAP) offers a web-based class entitled "Models of Assistive Technology Assessment." It is held on an interactive web site and anyone can participate. Registration deadline is December 20, 2004. For the PDF enrollment form, follow this link: http://www.connsensebulletin.com/otap05.pdf
Please share this information with anyone that you think might be interested in the class. We cover several models including Education Tech Points, SETT, the new assessment module from Texas, etc. Each particpant makes a personal plan for improving assistive technology assessment within the context of their own work with students with disabilities.
If you review the enrollment form and want more information, I would be happy to answer questiong off the list. Thanks for your help in spreading the word.
