On December 6 Kortney will join 6 other Segs4Vets candidates who will be presented Segways by General Ed Eberhart at a luncheon being held at the Army Navy Country Club in Washington DC. Candidates receiving Segways are:
United States Navy HA Elmer Dinglasan
United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Angel Barcenas
United States Army National Guard Staff Sergeant Christian Bagge
United States Army Sergeant Kortney Clemens
United States Army Sergeant Robert Bonner Jr.
United States Naval Reserve Petty Officer James Nappier
United States Army Master Sergeant Christopher Self
The Segs4Vets program was conceived by Disability Rights Advocates For Technology (DRAFT) with the assistance of General Ralph "Ed" Eberhart who retired January 1, 2005 from the United States Air Force.
