Rating: 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. Cool.

In Sequencing Fun students are presented with three pictures of a sequence and must place the pictures in the correct order of that sequence. When the pictures are in order, the student clicks Done. If they are correct, they will see an animated payoff, either an animated character is shown congratulating them or the sequence is shown in video. If they are incorrect, a voice encourages them to try again.

The software presents sequences of activities from 6 categories: food, home, farm and nature, school, sports and games, weather and seasons. The sequenced activities are shown in real life photographs and videos or cartoon characters. The activities are age appropriate and relevant to the target age group - K through 2nd grade.

I think the software is very easy to use, by just clicking and dragging the pictures to the first, second, or third position. The snapshots used for some of the sequences are realistic. The software provides immediate feedback and chances to "try again."

The only drawback was that the sequencing activity is presented in only one way. I would like to see more of the correctly placed sequences shown in video format.

Pre-readers and early readers (grades K-2) would enjoy using Sequencing Fun.

I used this software successfully in a Special Education resource program with K - 2nd grade students with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, and intellectual disabilities.

This software is relevant for pre-reading and language. It would be relevant for regular educationstudents and special education students.
