Rating: 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Cool
Curious George Learns to Spell teaches children the basics for spelling. There is a story interwoven with the 12 spelling activities or 12 chapters of a book. We enjoyed the variety of spelling activities and bonus games.
What makes this software Way Cool? This software lets the children work at their own pace. They earn points for each activity .
The only drawback was that there was no way to change the level of difficulty.
Appropriate for Pre-k, K and grade 1.
This software would be appropriate for Special Needs students of all ages who need practice in spelling and computer skills. The students who reviewed this software quickly learned that they could skip the narration and go directly to the activities. Our students also enjoyed the ability to print a summary of their progress.
