Shortly before 11:00pm on Friday, October 8th, the House appointed conferees to the conference committee on IDEA, which means that the House and Senate can now sit down and work out the differences between their respective IDEA reauthorization bills. Congress will break for a month-long recess the weekend of October 9th, but will reconvene for a one-week lame-duck session the week of November 15th.
